Ernst G. Ahrens - Exporters since 1932 Welcome to our
website*
In 1932 Hamburg merchant Ernst G. Ahrens started his own company,
exporting goods mainly to Australia, New Zealand and Papua New
Guinea. 20 years later, in 1952, his nephew, Mr. John Lührs, joined
the company as an apprentice. He spent some years as expatriate
re-establishing customer relations, which were disrupted by World
War II. 25 years later, in 1977, he took over the company and
changed it into a GmbH (company with limited liability). Utilising
his excellent personal connections as well as offering a wide range
of goods, he achieved a considerable increase in turnover by
providing fast delivery and first-rate service on reasonable terms
to his customers at all times.
In August 2002 Mr. John Lührs sold the company to Mr. Michael Maria
Burkert, who until then was mainly engaged in utility vehicles
export to Middle Eastern countries.
Our world wide operating company will continue to provide the best
possible service to our customers. We invite you to have a look at
our newly designed website: make your selection and feel free to
send us your enquiry. We will gladly prove our professionalism by
rendering any export service you may require!
